  • May 16th 6-8 pm: “Magic Realism” Writer Workshop with Hedy Habra. Portage District Library, 300 Library Ln, Portage, MI 49002.
    Habra will examine Magic Realism and its relationship with Fantastic literature and other artistic movements, such as Surrealism. In this workshop, Habra will explain the influence of Latin American literature on her own work and will highlight some magical realistic techniques in stories by prominent Latin American authors as well as in excerpts from her fiction and poetry.
